I've had requests to get the 2008 Kris Kindle advertising started, so here it is, get advertising......
We havn't recieved our letter yet, I will write some more blurb when we do. I am, however, led to believe that we are working in pairs as per last year.....
Update 29th November:
Well, our letter was waiting for me when I got back from a week in the middle east, and it seems the rules are unchanged from last year. It's couples again, and one assumes that everybody knows who they're buying for now. 100 Euros is the limit and those buying for Kid Sister and London Son, obviously, are to buy 2 seperate presents.
So, that's that, we all need adverts, nobody's got a clue what to get their chosen couple, and we havn't got a clue what we want, all suggestions greatfully recieved..........

Thank you so much, VL, for setting up the annual KK advertising blog. I have just one request so far. I would love a new wallet, a folding one with two pockets for notes and a few small pockets for credit cards. Oh yes, and I'll probably cause an uproar, but I'd also like a dvd of Mamma Mia. I understand it has been released. We can watch dvds on our computer.
So I've started the ball rolling while our computer is actually working!
Over to the rest of you.......
I would like to request that a fund is begun so hopefully by my b-day i will be able to choose a Digital camera...Im missin out on so many perfect photo opps cuz i dont have one...
Not a very creative wish list really...
sorry, no rhyming this year! We have a couple of ideas, although not really suitable if our KK is coming from Finland! We need a new strong long handled garden fork as PJ broke our one, I'd love Zig and Zags best of DVD (purely for my children of course!) or another idea was for a start on a new set of wine glasses and whiskey tumblers. Also the maths training game for our nintendo DS (again, for the kids in the house!) Hope that gives someone a few ideas, Sarah
What do we want,
Who says we know
Why, Oh Why, Oh Why
One might say, that this is beating
about the bush.
Somehow we've got to decide.
Every day we've thought about it.
Not everything goes in a suitcase.
How about something of value
a way to keep the weight down
goes well with logistics
everytime.
Later in the year
and the recievers can choose
now that's planted an idea
do see if it grows.
Now, this is a challenge for
Our kris kindle.
so u want a bush??? but not right now???
right...
The other Northern ones write:
Unfortunately most of our (Or Mr's) wishes are somewhat postage unfriendly... a garden fork/ suitcase/ sawing bench/ suitbag/... so money towards any of those would be greatly appreciated. And most of Mrs's wishes are so particular that she'd be in the shop herself choosing them... (clothes/ bed spread to suit the curtains/...) So she's be more than happy with a monetary contribution too.
But we appreciate the need for lots of coffee breaks so here are some hints for possible postage friendly presents:
Mr:
1. long sleeve thermal undervests and longjohns(size male M, e.g Lowe alpine)/
2. black socks...
Mrs:
1. 100% cotton or 100 % silk pyjamas (size M, definetely NOT flanelette, colour preference anything but Grey, black or pink)/
2. 100 % cotton flat sheet for a double bed (color preference cream, NOT flanelette!)
Time is beginning to run out for sending precies... Some members of the family have not given any (postage friendly!!!) hints as yet. If you would like to have an influence on what you're getting, hints would be greatly appreciated asap... otherwise Santa will choose himself/herself. I think stuff needs to be posted at the beginning of next week (in order to arrive by Christmas)and my last real chance to get shopping is this weekened...
P.S The previous comment was sent on Friday 12.12.2008
Apologies for the lateness of my addition to this blog. After much deliberation I have come to the conclusion that I have no idea what I would like for Christmas this year.
So my only wish is that my present is something that I don't need.
A suggestion could be something like the Mosquito 3.0 remote control helicopter, as found on www.iwoot.com
That would be very cool.
Indeed
Hope that that is helpful.
London Boy
OK, now for something less woody, although, I can pass this comment about our last wish.
If you're reading this then you're on the net.
This is all you need to know for what to get.
Anyway, if you can't work all that out, we can make it easier for you... Here's a list
Some possiblilities for Mr's VL.
1: A user manual/teach yourself/beginners quide to Microsoft Access.
2: "Sound Books" for listening to on her mp3 player on the bus or in the car (CD's are fine), could be a voucher so she can choose herself.
3: A hand juicer for citrus fruit, one of the ones with a handle that you press down.
4: She needs a new jumper, could also be a voucher for a jumper shop....
Me:
1: Tools are always good, but I am quite picky, a gift voucher for a tool shop is an option
2: Could have some more CD's, especially REM (pretty much anything, but not Accelerate. The best of/live sets look good). Could also be a voucher.
3: Book Voucher.
will think of more later.
London boy....you've got it wrong your london son....
Anywho ive had another small idea....
my hair is all afright,
my money's getting tight,
id like to be a blonde again,
a voucher will suffice,
then il be all pretty and bright
Is it obvious enough???
p.s. Gorgeous on Georges Quay is my new fave hair place
:-D
Just been window shopping in Bandon Co-op - so a few very imaginative ideas from Father of all.
A boiler suit. My present one is a bit small and too tight, so large please, with plenty of room for my nuts (and bolts etc) in the pockets).
A woolly hat to cover my bald head and ears when I'm working around Beeston.
A comfortable casual long sleeve shirt (large 17 1/2 inch collar - but I don't intend to wear a tie with it.
Mum says we need fruit juice glasses and tumblers for water, just utility grade - nothing posh.
Or a combined present could be a wheelbarrow, as 2 out of 3 of the ones we borrow from our neighbours are bug ----- BROKEN!
Apologies for taking so long to get round to my advertising, due to the pressures of retirement and the fact that we can't go on line till after 6.00pm. This is our first night in for two weeks!
